I'm not to lock on DCP. I
tend to favor proven methods, such as walking, but I'm always
interested in new exercise techniques which could improve the results. I'm
still more interested in new approaches that can help people with
physical problems enter the physical condition more easily. So when my wife showed me an article in a magazine on what they call, 'pole walk', I did a little digging. Here is what I discovered.
This is often referred to as "Nordic walking". It is as simply as possible, the technique of market with what looks like a pair of ski poles. As for the skiing, the Walker moves alternately from the poles while he or she walks. Obviously, there is a 'better' technique, but it's a little complicated to describe here. However, the base method is first to cling to each pole firmly but not stretched. Then,
keeping the right arm, swing your arms at the height of the size around
and now poles diagonally behind you, helping power alternating with
impatience your poles left and right while walking.
What
has been developed as an activity in its own right, Nordic walking was
originally a means by which Finnish skiers could maintain fitness form
and ability during the offseason. Just as they skied on snow, they would walk on the ground, helping to propel themselves with poles. Obviously, these used in sport are not the ski poles. They are specially designed and can cost between about $40 to more than $200 pair. You can determine the optimal pole length by multiplying your height in inches para. The poles are adjustable.
So, what are the results of the cheap prices pole?
Well, among the many research groups and facilities, the Cooper Institute in Dallas, tested the technical cluster market. Here are a few things they and others to discover the cluster market.
1. Using the Poles encourages the use of more muscles in the process, allowing you to burn fat more effectively.
2. The poles help take pressure off joints, feet, back, etc. Once accustomed to the process, people report feeling better walk with them than without them.
3. Studies have shown that people walking with poles tend to lose more weight faster than those who simply walk. In
fact, some studies indicate that pole market can burn as much as 50%
more calories than to simply walk to the weight loss or exercise.
Nordic
walking has been popular in Europe for some time and it is actually an
organization dedicated to the activity - the international Nordic
walking Association. You can find their Web site at inwa.nordicwalking.com/.
Will be at foot of work for you? Well, you won't know until try you it, but if it was good enough for the Olympic level athletes, it is good enough for me. I guess I'll be getting a pair of poles and try it.
